This paper assesses the state of employment relations in Mauritius by analyzing data from the private and public sector organizations of Mauritius. The paper initially summarises, the theoretical framework governing employment relations and then presents empirical results of the study. The findings are based on two questionnaire surveys, one for management and the other for employees together with unstructured interviews to explore the field.
